What we help with

Estate Cleanout

Clearing out a home after a loss, from a few rooms to the whole house. Good providers sort, donate, and recycle what they can before hauling the rest.

Estate Sales

A professional team prices and sells furniture, collectibles, and household items, usually over a weekend at the home. It can turn belongings into funds before a cleanout.

Downsizing Support

Help for a parent or loved one moving to a smaller home or senior community. Patient people who help decide what to keep, plan the new space, and handle the rest.

  5. Step 5

    Decide on the home

Make repairs, rent it out, or explore selling, on your timeline.

You don't have to do these in order alone — get matched and we'll help you figure out your first step.

How matching works

  1. 1

    Tell us about the property

One short form: where it is, what help is needed, and your timeline.

  2. 2

    We review your request

A real person reviews it and checks for a suitable local provider.

  3. 3

    Confirm the next step

Talk directly with the provider. Confirm scope, timing, and their quote before agreeing to anything.

Introductions are made only to providers who have claimed their listing and confirmed their details. Unclaimed listings are shown for browsing only.

Please note: a match is not guaranteed. If we can't find a good fit, we'll tell you.

Optional · Separate service

Thinking about selling?

If you'd also like to explore selling the property, you can request a separate consultation through SoCal Home Options. This is entirely optional. Submitting a service request with Doorway does not sign you up for selling help.

Plain facts about how we work

Doorway is a new service, and we're onboarding our first San Diego providers now — coverage grows every month.

Families never pay us

Providers pay for introductions. That's how Doorway stays free for you.

Providers are independent

Each business is responsible for its own pricing, scheduling, insurance, and work quality.

Questions families ask

Is it free?+

Yes. Doorway is free for families. Providers pay for introductions, so you never pay Doorway anything. Any work you hire a provider for is priced and paid directly between you and them.

How does matching work?+

You fill out one short form about the property and the help you need. A real person reviews it and looks for a suitable local provider. If we find one, we introduce you, and you decide whether to go ahead.

How fast will I hear back?+

We aim to reply within one to two business days. Timing depends on your area and the kind of help needed, and a match is not guaranteed.

Do I have to use the provider you suggest?+

No. There is no obligation. Talk with them, compare options if you like, and only agree to work once you are comfortable with the scope, timing, and their quote.

What areas do you cover?+

San Diego County, including San Diego, La Jolla, Del Mar, Coronado, Chula Vista, Oceanside, Carlsbad, Escondido, El Cajon, Rancho Santa Fe, and La Mesa. Reach out even if your city isn't listed.

What if I also want to sell the house?+

That's optional and separate. You can request a consultation through SoCal Home Options. Asking for cleanout or estate sale help does not sign you up for selling help.
